l'Age Baston - An Introduction
This is Château l'Age Baston. It was here around 1309 and just kept growing. We found it in 1989 and have lived here ever since. We love l'Age Baston and think you will too. It has twenty acres of woods, fields and gardens for you to explore, in a region of France rich in natural beauty. Add delicious food, good company and friendly hosts and you can see why Château l'Age Baston makes for the perfect holiday.
The bedrooms are charming, spacious and have wonderful views. You would expect large rooms, panelled walls, tiled floors, stone fireplaces, pictures, high windows, oak boards and several staircases - and that is just what you get.
Admire the tapestry in the dining room as you savour delicious candle-lit meals skillfully prepared by Alexandra.
Vegetarians are welcome, and there are fresh vegetables from the kitchen garden. The wines we serve are nearly always Bordeaux.
Lunch in the sunny courtyard then relax in loungers in the garden, or take a gentle walk in the grounds. We have a fine swimming pool, and there are boules, bikes or hammocks depending on your mood, and the shops and bars of La Rochefoucauld, with its famous Château, are just minutes away.
