Painting the Chateau at la Rochefoucauld

If you fancy a French painting holiday you will find that there is so much to paint and draw at l'Age Baston that you will be spoilt for choice - the shapes and textures of the stone archways, the mediaeval citerne, pigeonnier, barns and stables. The light on the Limousin hills provides a constantly changing landscape. Picturesque villages and châteaux, water mills and sunflower fields all add colour to a painter's palette. Demonstrations and studies tend to take place in the studio after breakfast. The rest of the day is for painting and for individual tuition. There are trips to paint on location nearby and to visit the galleries at Angouleme.

And as this is not just an art course but also a French holday, as you might expect the food is outstanding: delicious meals in glorious surroundings. Vegetarians and those with special diets need have no worries. Alex and John have menus to cater for all needs. l'Age Baston is more like staying with friends and family; a creative atmosphere, warm and welcoming hosts, friendly tutors, good food and wine. Relax and paint in style at Château l'Age Baston for the finest in French painting holidays.
