Travelling to Château L’Age Baston
Getting to the Château couldn’t be easier. Fly, drive or take the train and be there in time for dinner. Château L’Age Baston is in the department of Charente, in southwest France. It is just outside the small town of La Rochefoucauld and 15 miles east of the City of Angoulême. Guests travel by car direct to Château L’Age Baston; others come by train to Angoulême (Eurostar & TGV). or fly to Limoges or Bordeaux Airports. We offer free transfers from all these arrival points but please check below for supported schedules prior to booking your travel.
Transfer time to Château L’Age Baston from Angoulême Station is approximately 20 minutes; from Limoges Airport it usually takes about an hour. Bordeaux Airport to L’Age Baston takes 1 hr 30 minutes.

Taking the train is a lovely way to get to L’Age Baston as you can sit back and relax and watch the French countryside unroll.
Train time from London St Pancras to Angoulême varies depending whether you come through Paris, Marne la Vallee or Lille. If you go via Paris, please bare in mind that you have to change stations and cross Paris on the Metro with your luggage or take a taxi.
Going via Lille or Marne la Vallee usually only involves a platform change (but please do check!). If you go via Paris, please bare in mind that you have to change stations and cross Paris on the Metro with your luggage or take a taxi.

- Depart St Pancras 09:24 (via Paris) & arrive Angoulême 16:14
- Depart Angoulême 11:28 (via Paris) & arrive St Pancras at 16:39
Please note that Eurostar & TGV reservations can ONLY be made up to three months in advance of your departure date. We would therefore advise that you make a note in your diary of the date 3 months before departure and book then to get the best deal.

Flying is a popular way of getting to L’Age Baston and we provide a free transfer service from Limoges and Bordeaux Airports for certain flights. Here is a list of the scheduled Summer 2018 flights that we can meet by arrangement. Please note that we usually only pick up from each airport once a day. Therefore you may have be a short wait at the airport for the other guests on a later flight. In this situation we will usually meet you and go for a coffee while we wait for the others to arrive.

L’Age Baston will try to make sure you know about your collection and return as soon as we have all the information. Most of our inter-continental guests fly to Paris and then take a TGV train to Angoulême Station. This takes 2hr 15 minutes and then we can collect you from there.
