Photography At Château L’age Baston 8th September 2018 – 7 Nights £1,375
How often do you feel you could take better pictures with just a little more know-how and understanding? This photography course is designed for you to get the most from your own photography.
Tutored by acclaimed international photographers John Darwell and Barry Ainsworth who aim to help you to understand how good images come from the individual and not always from the latest or most costly equipment.
This photography course will be informative and entertaining. With two tutors working in small groups by the end of the week your photography will have taken a major leap forward.
During your six days of tuition we will visit locations to explore historic sites, picturesque landscapes, peaceful villages, lively traditional markets and to savour the French countryside and all it has to offer. Guidance will be given as to how ‘seeing photographically’ will allow you to get the most out of your equipment whether a novice or experienced practitioner.
The course starts Sunday morning with planning and preparation followed by an afternoon session on location in La Rochefoucauld. Included in the following sessions will be location visits to Angouleme, Piegut Pluviers Market, Brantome and to selected landscape sites.
We also plan to have three elective sessions for you to follow your own photographic muse. The week will end with a session on post-production software, we will be demonstrating how images can be adjusted. The darkroom is not dead!
John and Barry’s plan is for an enjoyable, useful and creative week improving your photography and taking full advantage of all delights of food, company and comfort that the Chateau has to offer. They will be doing do their professional best to ensure your time at Château L’Age Baston is rewarding and challenging.
They are highly experienced photographers with decades of image-making to their names and both have worked in higher education in the UK and internationally. John is currently a visiting speaker at universities across the UK and Europe. They are sympathetic, expert and have just the right combination of skills and personalities to help you develop your own ‘way of seeing’ during what will be our first exciting photographic week at L’Age Baston.
